WHAT CAN AI HELP YOU BUILD?

You can build much more with AI than a simple email draft or an answer to a question. This course is a resource for seeing what is possible—and for thinking bigger about what you can create.

See What Is
Possible.

AI can help you move from an idea to a real product. It can help you plan, design, build, connect services, test, find problems, fix problems, and improve what you created. You do not need to know how to build everything on this page today. First, know that these possibilities exist.

Start here

You can build much more with AI than a simple email draft or an answer to a question.

Many people first meet AI as something that writes, answers questions, or summarizes information. Those are useful abilities, but they are only a small part of what AI can help you create.

AI can help you build products people actually use. The purpose of this course is not to make you memorize categories. It is to help you see opportunities you may not have realized were available to you.

01

Apps

Build products people use on phones, tablets, or computers. Apps can help people solve problems, make decisions, communicate, organize their lives, learn, shop, exercise, create, or complete work.

Examples: fitness app, hair design app, budgeting app, travel planner, dating app, customer-service app, personal assistant.

Think about: What problem could an app make easier for someone?

02

Websites & Web Platforms

A website can be much more than a page that displays information. It can become a complete platform where people create accounts, save information, communicate, buy things, upload files, use tools, or manage work.

Examples: business website, membership platform, booking site, customer portal, directory, professional network.

03

Games & Interactive Experiences

AI can help you create products people play, explore, practice with, and respond to. Interactive experiences can be built for entertainment, education, training, marketing, or simulation.

Examples: strategy game, educational game, simulation, quiz, interactive story, training experience.

04

SaaS Products & CRMs

SaaS is software people use as a service, usually through the internet. A CRM helps a business manage customers, leads, conversations, appointments, sales, and other important information. These can become products businesses depend on every day.

Examples: appointment system, sales tracker, property-management platform, customer-management system, subscription business tool.

05

AI Agents

An AI Agent can be given a job and instructions for how to perform it. Agents can inspect information, use allowed tools, complete steps, report results, and work with other agents.

Examples: Audit Agent, Fix Agent, research agent, customer-support agent, sales assistant, operations agent.

Important: You can build AI that does work—not only AI that talks.

06

Voice & Vision AI Products

AI products can listen, speak, understand images, inspect video, and respond to what they hear or see. This creates experiences that go far beyond typing into a chat box.

Examples: voice assistant, visual fitness trainer, speaking tutor, image inspector, camera-based shopping assistant, vehicle inspection assistant.

07

Automations & Business Operating Systems

Automations handle repeated work. Larger business operating systems can connect many jobs, people, databases, AI agents, and tools so a company can operate through one coordinated system.

Examples: customer follow-up, lead processing, appointment reminders, reporting, email workflows, order processing, employee workflows.

08

Marketplaces, Communities & Social Platforms

Build places where people find each other, communicate, share information, follow one another, join groups, collaborate, buy, sell, or form communities.

Examples: marketplace, member community, professional network, neighborhood platform, creator community, social network.

09

Education, E-Commerce & Media Products

Build systems that teach people, sell products, publish information, distribute media, or combine several of those jobs into one experience.

Examples: online school, course platform, technology store, magazine, news platform, digital library, learning game, creator platform.

Think bigger: One platform can combine education, community, shopping, and media.

10

Developer & Internal Business Products

Not every product has to be made for the general public. You can build tools for other builders or tools a company uses behind the scenes to operate, analyze information, manage work, or serve customers.

Examples: API platform, company dashboard, administrative system, employee portal, analytics platform, internal search tool, reporting system.

Remember: Some of a company's most valuable technology may never be seen by its customers.

11

Generators & Builders

You can build a product whose job is to help another person create something. That means AI can help you build tools that help other people build.

Examples: website builder, app builder, business-plan generator, image generator, marketing generator, proposal builder, document builder.

12

Operating Systems & Large Connected Systems

You are not limited to building one small product. Apps, websites, databases, APIs, AI agents, automations, dashboards, and communication tools can work together as one larger system.

Examples: company operating system, education ecosystem, healthcare platform, city platform, technology ecosystem.

How large systems get built: one useful piece at a time. You do not need to build the entire vision on the first day.

13

Build Something That Does Not Exist Yet

You do not have to copy something that already exists. You can combine ideas, technologies, industries, and experiences in new ways. You may see a problem nobody has solved well or imagine a better way to do something.

You might combine voice, vision, agents, databases, automation, community, devices, or other technologies into something completely new.

If you can clearly explain what you want something to do, AI can help you explore how to build it.

You can combine these

These are not separate boxes.

One product might be an app + community + marketplace + AI Agent + voice + automation + database. Another might be education + games + e-commerce + media. Your idea can combine several categories in a way nobody has tried before.

DON'T ASK ONLY

“What kind of app should I build?”

Also ask: “What do I want people to be able to do?”

That question opens up far more possibilities because it starts with the outcome, not the type of technology.

You do not have to know how yet

Do not reject an idea because you do not know how to build it today.

You have already seen how to direct AI, build from a foundation, test products, add capabilities with APIs, and connect Supabase while the owner controls the important decisions. Those are tools you can combine. Your first responsibility is to understand what you want to create and why it should exist. Then you and AI can work through how to build it.

This list will keep growing

This is a starting point—not a limit.

New AI models, APIs, devices, tools, plugins, and capabilities will keep creating new possibilities. Start with a problem you want to solve, an experience you want to create, or an idea you believe should exist.

Then build.I Understand
